Drummondville in brief

Drummondville is a Centre-du-Québec city that still orients itself by the rivière Saint-François. Drummondvillois cross it for work, fish it for supper, and argue about spring floods the way other towns argue about snowbanks. City hall sits on rue Lindsay, but the emotional map is riverside: Parc Woodyatt downtown, Parc Sainte-Thérèse for family swim days, Parc des Voltigeurs for BMX and disc golf, and quieter lookouts like Parc des Rapides-Spicer when someone wants moving water in the soundtrack.

Parc à Parc is the local name for stitching those parks into one circuit, complete with a cyclo-pedestrian Traversier between shores in the warm months. Promenade Rivia runs beside the Village Québécois d'Antan, so heritage tourism and evening rollerskate traffic share the same bank without needing separate cities. Farther out, parc régional de la Forêt Drummond splits into east and west shores and keeps Route verte riders in the trees when downtown feels too loud.

Summer culture stays close to the water too. Place Saint-Frédéric hosts free spectacles, parc Milette runs Conteneurs culturels workshops, and Scène nomade moves Sunday shows from park to park. InfoDMV and Nouveaux Drummondvillois pages show a city that expects arrivals and tries to onboard them. On the Saint-François, Drummondville sells itself as a river metro that still names its parks like neighbours and keeps the Village Québécois d'Antan inside the weekly outing list. The Traversier is free, seasonal, and oddly beloved: Drummondvillois use it as both shortcut and tiny cruise between Parc Kounak and the airport shore before finishing Parc à Parc on the other bank.

OpenStats Broadband Download Speeds

OpenStats

Cities ranked by estimated best advertised download (Mbps). Anchored to the current ISED National Broadband Data vintage, then backcast along a national speed curve with city-specific fiber-arrival and 50/10 availability paths so relative ranks can change over the decade. Not a claim of audited historical hex maps for every year.

OpenStats

OpenStats City Score

OpenStats

Dimensional average of OpenStats open-data pillars for each panel year 2016–2025: tax, construction, connectivity, indoor air, water, seismic hazard, population growth, and crime severity. Each series is scored 0–1 within its edition; series in the same pillar are averaged, then all eight pillars are averaged with equal weight. Missing pillars score at median standing (0.5). Growth and CSI use StatCan annual tables; permits, mill rates, and broadband use live rows plus documented year-varying estimates where needed. Radon, water, and PGA may be survey/model vintages carried forward and are flagged when static for more than two years. External commercial livability lists are never inputs.
