Centre Wellington in brief

Centre Wellington is a Wellington County township whose main towns are Elora and Fergus, both rooted in 1830s settlement along the Grand River. The modern township arrived on New Year's Day 1999 when those towns merged with several rural townships.

Farm fields still dominate, with manufacturing mixed in. Elora is known for its limestone village core and the Elora Gorge, where a Golden Jubilee graffito is carved into the cliffs for sharp-eyed hikers.
