Norfolk in brief

Norfolk County is a rural single-tier municipality on Lake Erie's north shore, with Simcoe as its largest community and Port Dover, Delhi, Waterford, and Port Rowan as other centres. Princess Point people brought maize agriculture into these sandy soils centuries ago.

Port Dover Harbour Museum and the Delhi Tobacco Museum keep fishing and tobacco-farming memory on display. The county name stuck even after one-tier government replaced the old county structure.
