Cornwall in brief

Cornwall sits where Ontario, Quebec, and New York meet on the St. Lawrence, Ontario's easternmost city and the seat of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry even though it runs independently. It borrows its name and flipped coat of arms from the English Duchy of Cornwall.

United Empire Loyalists founded New Johnstown here in 1784. Three years later Prince William Henry, later William IV, made it the first settlement in present-day Ontario visited by a royal family member.
