Central Park still orients Merritt. Tournament ball fields, skate park, pump track, and multi-sport box for basketball and floor hockey. The paved trail toward Rotary Park is a standard evening walk.
Merritt's water system uses five wells from 30 to 150 metres deep with a combined capacity up to 315 litres per second.
