Sooke Lake Reservoir
Goldstream Water Supply Area reservoirs
Capital Regional District Regional Water Supply delivers bulk disinfected water to the City of Victoria / Township of Esquimalt distribution system and other Greater Victoria municipalities. Sooke Lake Reservoir provides about 90% of regional source storage; Goldstream is secondary/emergency.
Greater Victoria’s protected mountain supply is treated by disinfection only—no filtration—because source turbidity and watershed protection historically meet BC filtration-exemption criteria.
Goldstream Water Treatment Plant
CRD disinfection facility (UV, chlorine, ammonia/chloramine) serving the main Greater Victoria service area including Victoria; unfiltered source under filtration exemption.
Sooke River Road Water Treatment Plant (Disinfection Facility)
Second CRD disinfection plant for the regional system; on-site hypochlorite generation plus UV and ammonia.
Treatment on record: chlorination · UV · filtration · +1 more plant
