Rivière Saint-Maurice
Municipal groundwater wells (multiple wellfields)
Besides the Saint-Maurice filtration plant, several groundwater production sectors (including Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Saint-Louis-de-France, Sainte-Marthe-du-Cap, and parts of Trois-Rivières-Ouest) feed local reservoirs and a partly interconnected aqueduct network.
Unlike many St. Lawrence cities, Trois-Rivières does not use the St. Lawrence as its municipal drinking-water source; groundwater remains a major share of supply.
