  Paskapoo Formation aquifers (municipal wells; not Sylvan Lake itself)

  Wells on east shore (Red Deer County) and southern town; wastewater is piped to Red Deer regional plant, separate from potable supply.

  Despite the lake-town name, municipal taps are well water from the Paskapoo—not Sylvan Lake surface water.

  Chlorination only; town states no other purification additives needed for well water. About 7–8 active wells feed two reservoirs.
