  South Peel Drinking Water System distribution is owned and operated by Peel Region; Mississauga sits entirely on the lake-based South Peel network (Caledon wells are separate rural systems).

  Together the two South Peel plants produced over 211 billion litres in 2025 and also export water to York and Halton.

  Arthur P. Kennedy Water Treatment Plant

  Peel Region plant on Lake Ontario serving primarily the east side of Mississauga and Brampton (plus southern Caledon and York Region). Up to 1,200 million litres per day; conventional plus advanced ozone / biologically active carbon / membrane trains. Operated by OCWA.

  Lorne Park Water Treatment Plant

  Peel Region plant largely underground beneath parkland on the Lake Ontario shore; serves primarily the west side of Mississauga and Brampton. Up to 500 million litres per day; conventional plus membrane / UV / GAC advanced train. Operated by OCWA.
