  Combined Kingston Drinking Water System serves about 132,500 people across three distribution areas with elevated tanks and reservoirs (O’Connor, Progress, Creekford, Tower Street, Third Avenue among them).

  Kingston’s twin plants sit at the Lake Ontario–St. Lawrence transition, drawing deep offshore water chosen after extensive intake siting studies.

  Utilities Kingston / City of Kingston plant with a 1.2 m intake about 570 m offshore at roughly 18 m depth. Supplies Distribution Area 1 (Pressure Zones 1 and 2).

  King Street Water Treatment Plant

  Second Lake Ontario plant with intake about 1 km offshore at roughly 18 m depth. Supplies Distribution Area 2 (and Area 3 via James Street booster).
